Turkey Declares Three Days of Mourning for Palestinians, While Armenia Still Lacks List of 44-Day War Casualties - Turkologist

“If the Armenian state does not value our fallen, no one will,” wrote Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan.

“Erdogan has declared a three-day mourning in Turkey for the civilian victims in Palestine. A country of 85 million is grieving the deaths of approximately 500 Muslims. Of course, Erdogan is enhancing his stature within the Islamic community through this. However, that is not the essence of the matter. In Armenia, there has been no mourning declared for nearly 300 Armenian boys who fell in Artsakh and an additional 200 civilian Armenians who perished in the fire. Furthermore, there has yet to be a published list of casualties from the 44-day war,” he wrote.

The Turkologist added, “If the Armenian state does not value our fallen, no one else will.”

It is worth recalling that earlier, Ozlem Zengin, the deputy head of Turkey’s ruling party parliamentary faction, announced the declaration of three days of mourning.
