Bomb Threat: Evacuations Underway at Airports in France
Evacuations have been initiated at several airports in France due to reports of a bomb threat. This was reported by Interfax.
According to BFMTV, French security services are evacuating people from a number of regional airports across the country following these bomb threat reports, leading to delays in several flights. The airports in Montpellier, Nantes-Atlantique, and Bordeaux are specifically mentioned.
Just a day prior, more than 10 airports across France underwent evacuations due to similar reports. Earlier this week, the Palace of Versailles was also evacuated in response to a threat of terrorism. It was later revealed that all reports were false.
On Wednesday, Transportation Minister Clément Beaune stated that “false reports are a malicious prank, and those responsible will be punished.”
