Russia Prevents Terrorist Attack, Destroys 28 Ukrainian Drones: Ministry of Defense

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that on the night of October 18, air defense systems in several regions of Russia intercepted and destroyed 28 Ukrainian drones.

According to the military department's Telegram channel, the drones were shot down in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as over the Black Sea. The ministry did not provide further details about the destroyed drones.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the unmanned aerial vehicles were attempting to carry out “a terrorist attack on targets within the territory of the Russian Federation.”

Earlier, the governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that six Ukrainian drones were shot down over the region on the night of October 18, specifically in the city of Yakovlevka. He noted that there were no recorded damages on the ground resulting from the destruction of the drones, and there were no reports of casualties or injuries.
