Israel Demands Apology from the UN
Israel is demanding that the UN apologize for allowing Hamas to build a "war machine" in the Gaza Strip for years, said Israel's permanent representative to the organization, Gilad Erdan.
"We demand an apology. The UN and some members of the UN Security Council rushed to accept the lies of terrorists similar to ISIS and failed to acknowledge the hard evidence of democratic rule. You must apologize, apologize for never convening the Council when Hamas rockets were deliberately fired at Israeli hospitals. Apologize for burying your head in the sand for years while Hamas was building its military machine in Gaza," he stated during a UN Security Council meeting convened in response to the attack on Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza.
He found it incomprehensible that the UN Security Council has not yet condemned Hamas's attack on the Jewish state.
It is noteworthy that the Security Council meeting is taking place at the initiative of the Russian Federation, China, and the UAE.
