Why Davit Babayan Voluntarily Surrendered: 'Iravunk'
'Iravunk' newspaper writes: The issue of why former Artsakh Foreign Minister Davit Babayan voluntarily surrendered to the enemy continues to be a topic of discussion among the public. Various hypotheses are circulating regarding the reasons for his surrender in Artsakh, one of which suggests that through intermediaries, he was warned that either he would come voluntarily or he could forget about his sons.
According to another version, Azerbaijan informed the authorities through delegates that if Babayan did not go to Shushi, they would halt the flow of civilians into Armenia by closing the Hakari bridge.
According to the same reports, Artsakh authorities informed Babayan about this, after which he went to surrender.
