Israel Urges Its Citizens in Turkey to Leave the Country Immediately
Israeli citizens in Turkey are advised to leave the country as soon as possible. This recommendation was issued by the Israeli National Security Council.
“In light of the ongoing rise in terrorist threats against Israelis abroad, the travel warning for Turkey has been elevated to the highest level, Level 4. All Israelis currently in Turkey must leave the country as soon as possible,” the statement reads.
This announcement follows a call for a gathering near the Israeli embassy in Istanbul at 11:00 PM local time.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health has blamed the Israeli army for an airstrike. Meanwhile, as reported by AP, an Israeli Defense Forces spokesman, Daniel Hagari, stated that Israel is investigating reports of a strike on a hospital. Hagari added that it is unclear whether the explosion at the hospital was caused by an Israeli army strike.
