14 Packages Found Inside Boiled Meat Bone
The penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia continues its uncompromising struggle against illegal drug trafficking. In this framework, officials of the "Armavir" penitentiary institution prevented the infiltration of a large quantity of substances resembling drugs into the facility.
Specifically, during the execution of previously obtained information, on October 16 at approximately 15:15, employees from the operational and security departments of the facility searched a parcel brought by citizen G.M. addressed to inmate A.B.
As a result of the search, 14 packages were discovered hidden inside a boiled meat bone, weighing a total of 34.58 grams and containing substances resembling various types of drugs. Among the packets, four contained a substance resembling methamphetamine, with a total weight of 10.42 grams, seven contained a substance resembling marijuana, totaling 17.27 grams, two packets held a substance resembling heroin, with a total weight of 5.86 grams, and one packet contained a substance resembling opium, weighing 1.03 grams.
Citizen G.M. stated that he was asked to deliver the parcel addressed to inmate A.B. as a taxi driver and claimed he had no knowledge of the parcel's contents. G.M. was arrested by the operational department's officers and presented to the Investigative Division of the RA Investigative Committee's Armavir Regional Investigative Department along with the discovered substances.
