Putin Calls Current World Order 'Nonsense'

Russian President Vladimir Putin has labeled the Western-promoted "rules-based order" as "nonsense." He stated that no one has seen these rules and no one has written them down, allowing proponents of such colonial approaches to create rules on a case-by-case basis for their own benefit.

"You said, 'order based on rules.' Have you ever seen these rules? No. Because no one has ever written them, and no one has ever agreed with anyone. How can you talk about an order based on rules that no one has? You see, from a rational perspective, this is nonsense," Putin said in an interview with China Media Corporation.

But this is convenient for those who promote this approach, the Russian president explained. "Because if no one has seen these rules, it means that those who talk about them are presenting these rules on a case-by-case basis according to their interests. This is a colonial approach," he continued.

According to him, representatives of colonial countries have always believed that they are first-class citizens. "After all, they always claimed to bring enlightenment to their colonies, that they are civilized people and bring the benefits of civilization to other peoples considered second-class citizens," Putin added.
