VIDEO: Trial of Vagif Khachatryan Underway in Baku

A trial has begun in Baku regarding the case of Vagif Khachatryan, who was abducted by Azerbaijani forces in July this year from the Lachin corridor. The proceedings are presided over by Judge Jamal Ramazanov of the Baku Military Court. According to the trial, 59 individuals have been recognized as victims in the case.

Khachatryan was kidnapped at the end of July at a checkpoint installed in the Lachin corridor, directly from a Red Cross vehicle. The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has stated that "Khachatryan was charged" back in 2013 and an "international warrant for his arrest has been issued."
