Video: Tigran Avinyan Sworn in as Mayor

The swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected Mayor Tigran Avinyan is currently taking place at the Yerevan City Hall. Attending the ceremony are high-ranking officials from the country, including the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, who is notably the first mayor of Yerevan after Armenia's independence.

In assuming the role of Mayor of Yerevan, Avinyan pledged to adhere to the Constitution and laws, execute the decisions of the city council, perform his duties honestly, and work daily for the prosperity of Yerevan and its residents, while defending the legal interests of citizens.

"I commit to take care of the preservation of our ancient capital, defend the rights, legal interests, and property of the community with unwavering dedication, contribute to the material and spiritual uplift of the people, and support every honest initiative aimed at realizing the sacred ideas of my citizens," said Avinyan.

It is noteworthy that Tigran Avinyan is the 13th Mayor of Yerevan in newly independent Armenia. It is important to mention that on October 10, the Yerevan City Council elected Tigran Avinyan as the city’s 14th mayor.
