When Will the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan Meet?
On September 11, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk announced that the next meeting of the deputy prime ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan would take place when conditions mature for unblocking transportation links in the region.
MediaHub reached out to the office of Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan to clarify whether, given the recent noticeable escalation in Armenian-Russian relations, the surrender of Artsakh, and the depopulation of Armenians, there is any information on when the next meeting of the three countries' deputy prime ministers will occur. The media outlet also inquired if the current situation might temporarily freeze this format of discussions.
In response to our inquiry, Mher Grigoryan’s office stated: “We inform you that there is currently no agreement regarding the next meeting of the Trilateral Working Group. In any case, the continuation of work in the Trilateral Working Group format by the deputy prime ministers is primarily related to the uniform and unequivocal perception of the unblocking and subsequent operation of the region's transport routes based on the principles of the sovereignty, jurisdiction, and reciprocity of the countries involved.”
