Staying is One Thing, Leaving is Another: Fearing Pashinyan's Revenge

Staying is One Thing, Leaving is Another: Fearing Pashinyan's Revenge

The newspaper "Hraparak" writes: "Among those in power, there are individuals who know very well the devastation they have caused in the country, and how great the guilt of this government is towards the Armenian people. However, some of them are busy making money, considering that their level of responsibility is minimal, and that at any moment they can 'sink to the bottom until the danger passes,' and then live hidden away in some corner, whether in Armenia or abroad.

Others understand that the day of reckoning may come, and at that time, no one will consider whose guilt is greater; they will all be held accountable mercilessly. Yet, this group fears not only that distant day, which remains quite hazy, but also the revenge of Nikol Pashinyan and do not dare to leave, resign, or step off the ship called the Civil Contract Party.

Those, especially the high-ranking officials, talk among themselves that the leader will not let anyone go easily; criminal and other persecutions will follow. Although there are some who have successfully escaped the team and are now enjoying the money they earned, that was before 2020—almost in a previous life."
