Aliyev: 'There are still certain groups hiding in the territory of Karabakh'
There are several groups that are hiding in Karabakh. This was stated by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during a meeting with the heads of special services of CIS countries.
“Currently, the process of clearing the territories from armed groups is taking place. According to our information, there are still certain groups that are hiding in this territory. Since September 20, there have been armed provocations in Karabakh. The area is quite vast, mountainous, and forested, so it will take time to completely clear the area from armed groups,” said Aliyev.
It is noteworthy that on September 19, Azerbaijan launched military aggression along the entire contact line in Artsakh, referring to it as “locally oriented anti-terrorist measures” aimed at “restoring constitutional order.” The next day, an agreement on a ceasefire was reached through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers. This was followed by the disarmament of the Artsakh Defense Army and a decision on the dissolution of the Republic of Artsakh. After that, more than 100,000 people were forcibly displaced from Artsakh to Armenia.
