Aliyev: 'Now the question arises - does Armenia want peace?'

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, addressed Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and peace negotiations during a meeting in Baku with the heads of the security and interior ministries of the CIS member states.

Aliyev specifically stated, "Tomorrow, at the suggestion of the Russian side, a meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia is supposed to take place in Bishkek. We gratefully accept Russia's mediation, as it is an ally to both us and Armenia and is present in our region, unlike those who are thousands of kilometers away.

Naturally, the history of our countries' relations includes the mediation of the Russian side. We have positively accepted this proposal, and our foreign minister is ready to meet with his Russian and Armenian counterparts. Unfortunately, the Armenian side refused this meeting.

Now the question arises - does Armenia want peace? I think not, because if they wanted peace, they would not have rejected this opportunity. The Prime Minister of Armenia flies to Granada for six hours, participates in an unclear meeting where Azerbaijan is discussed without Azerbaijan. However, he cannot fly to Bishkek for 2-3 hours because he has important matters. This is something that we all need to openly say. Everyone sees this, and we need to proceed from this situation.
