EU, US, and Russia Can Collaborate on Nagorno-Karabakh Issue, Says Galuzin
“It turns out that the European Union, the USA, and Russia can still work together on this issue,” said Galuzin, responding to a journalist's question regarding a Politico article that reported a meeting in Istanbul before the recent escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Galuzin continued, “They can. However, understanding that the European Union and the US will not stop attributing our successes to themselves, and their actions will position themselves within the frameworks of Armenian-Azerbaijani regulation that have already been developed between the parties with the mediation of Russia, we approach our contacts with the European Union and the United States from this perspective. I do not agree that we are talking about some kind of competition. There are peaceful settlement frameworks between Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia in 2020 and in the upcoming two years. If the EU and the US wish to help in their implementation, of course, we will not oppose this. But if it is about exploiting Russian developments and acting without Russia, it is clear that such an approach is unacceptable for us.”
