Kremlin Uncertain About Pashinyan's Trip to Bishkek

The Kremlin expects Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to participate in the CIS summit scheduled for October 13 in Bishkek. This was stated by Yuri Ushakov, Assistant to the President of Russia, as reported by TASS: “I do not know whether Pashinyan will come or not, but there are reports that he will participate via videoconference,” Ushakov said.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, mentioned that the Russian leader plans to visit Kyrgyzstan in October and meet, in particular, with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. The Kremlin representative noted that the travel dates have been determined, but it is still too early to announce them.

On October 4, Muratbek Azimbekov, head of the foreign policy department of the Kyrgyz presidential administration, announced that the CIS summit will take place on October 13 in Bishkek. The Kyrgyz side also expects that Putin's official visit to Kyrgyzstan will occur on October 12.
