Japan will allocate a $2 million grant to assist individuals forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. This information has been reported by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Considering the fact that more than 100,000 people have been displaced due to military operations in Azerbaijan, the Japanese government will provide $2 million in emergency assistance through the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees,” the ministry stated.
The report indicates that half of this grant will be received by the Red Cross for health, safety, water supply, and other expenses. The second half will be transferred to the UN for non-food items and other necessities.
