Video: Fire Breaks Out at Liquid Gas Filling Station, Injuries Reported

On October 4, at 23:06, the Crisis Management Center of the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Department received a report that a fire broke out at one of the liquid gas filling stations in Vayk city, and assistance from rescuers was needed. This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

"Two firefighting units from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been dispatched to the scene. It turned out that the fire originated from an underground liquid gas reservoir at a filling station on the Jermuk road, containing approximately 15 tons of liquid gas. A 'Level 2' fire complexity has been declared, and operational groups from the regional rescue department and two additional firefighting units have arrived at the scene," the statement said.

Before the rescuers reached the scene, individuals T. B. (born in 1970), Zh. B. (born in 1991), and M. M. (born in 1982) were hospitalized with varying degrees of burns. Medical centers reported that T. B. and Zh. B.'s conditions are serious, while M. M.'s condition is moderate," the statement noted.

It was reported that 47 citizens have been evacuated and transferred to a safe area.
