Meeting of Nikol Pashinyan and Ursula von der Leyen Held in Granada
In Granada, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission. The discussions focused on the situation arising from the forced displacement of the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh, regional dynamics, and the agenda of Armenia-EU cooperation.
Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that the EU is ready to provide necessary support to Armenia to assist in addressing the humanitarian issues faced by the Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians. It was noted that the European Commissioner for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid will visit Armenia to assess further needs.
At the same time, both parties addressed the progress of democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia and future cooperation in that direction.
