Vitaly Balasanyan Did Not Attempt to Cross Azerbaijani Checkpoint

A video has recently circulated online, claiming that Artsakh hero Vitaly Balasanyan attempted to cross the Azerbaijani checkpoint near the Hakarri Bridge, but the Azerbaijani side allegedly denied him passage, citing that Balasanyan is a terrorist.

According to Aravot.am, Vitaly Balasanyan did not attempt to cross the Azerbaijani checkpoint. He is not in captivity. “The news outlet’s source contacted him 10 minutes after the video went viral, and he jokingly stated that he is still alive and not captured. The video, according to the source, is an old clip. However, he could not specify how old it is, where it was filmed, or under what circumstances, as it is incomplete,” the report added.
