Video: Opportunity to Sign Transformative Document in Granada, Prime Minister Says
“We have confirmed the visit to Granada until the last moment, and even today,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during the Q&A session at the National Assembly. He stated that Armenia was optimistic and constructive because it believed there was an opportunity to sign a "transformative document."
Pashinyan noted that until this morning, that probability was assessed as high. However, he reminded that the planned meeting will not take place, but not due to Armenia's fault. “The visit of our delegation to Granada has not been canceled; we are going there and will have meetings, and in essence, we will try to present our positions in more detail.”
Pashinyan expressed regret that the meeting with the President of Azerbaijan will not happen. “But we hope that the conceptual document on the table will be signed at a suitable moment. I am ready to sign that agreement and regret that I do not have the opportunity tomorrow to announce that this important decision has been made.”
