U.S. House of Representatives Removes Republican Speaker
The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to remove Republican Speaker Kevin McCarthy from his position.
According to Reuters, far-right Republicans were outraged that McCarthy was able to pass a temporary budget bill with the support of Democrats, thereby avoiding a government shutdown.
