Aliyev Expresses Hope That Meeting in Granada Will Promote Peace Process
The upcoming meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is set to take place in Granada, has the potential to advance the development of a peace agenda in the region.
As reported by Armenpress, citing TASS, this opinion was expressed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with the Anglican Church's spiritual leader, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
“President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the meeting in Granada will serve as a catalyst for the development of a peace agenda in the region,” the statement published on the official website of the Azerbaijani president reads. He emphasized that historical opportunities have been created to promote the peace agenda in the region.
