The Decision for Artsakh to Become Part of Azerbaijan Was Made with Nikol Pashinyan's Participation, Says Sergey Lavrov

“The decision that Artsakh should become part of Azerbaijan was made with the direct participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan,” stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“The statements coming from Yerevan that in November, Russian President Vladimir Putin forced Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to give Artsakh to Azerbaijan are false,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.

“The agreement states that Artsakh falls under the responsibility of the peacekeeping mission, and there was a general understanding that discussions regarding the final status of Artsakh would continue. Subsequently, Pashinyan recognized Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan in Prague,” he added.
