UN Mission's Visit to Artsakh Delayed, Lacks Substance, Says Hunan Tadevosyan

The UN mission's visit to Artsakh is already delayed, as are visits from other humanitarian organizations, and it has a formal rather than substantive nature. This was stated by Hunan Tadevosyan, the head of the information and public relations department of the State Emergency Service of Artsakh, commenting on the delayed visit of the UN mission to the depopulated region of Artsakh.

"I have done volunteer work; as many people as there were in the basements, including those with mental disorders who do not understand what is happening, I personally helped get them on buses and evacuate from Stepanakert. Information circulated on social media that a mother with seven children was left behind, along with couples, and we searched the entire city again, but couldn’t find anyone. The main population remains absent from Stepanakert; if there are any, they are few and far between. According to my information, former presidents and political leaders are still in Artsakh," he stated.

It is noteworthy that this morning it was reported that the UN mission has entered the depopulated Artsakh accompanied by Azerbaijani officials. It should be mentioned that Azerbaijan initiated a large-scale military attack on September 19, which lasted for a day, after which, through the mediation of peacekeepers, the political leadership of Artsakh agreed to comply with Azerbaijan's demands.

Artsakh has been entirely depopulated, as the residents find it impossible to accept assurances of peaceful integration under Azerbaijani control. The president of Artsakh has signed a decree stating that the Republic of Artsakh will be dissolved as of January 1.
