VIDEO: Azerbaijan Arrests Former Deputy Commander of Defense Army David Manukyan
The State Security Service of Azerbaijan has announced the arrest of former Deputy Commander of the Defense Army of Artsakh, Major General David Manukyan. According to Azerbaijan, Manukyan was arrested on charges of "terrorist crimes."
The State Security Service reports that Manukyan was taken into custody on September 27, and a four-month detention measure has been ordered against him.
It is noted that David Manukyan, "as a citizen of Armenia and a member of the Armed Forces of Armenia, under the guise of the Deputy Minister of Defense," participated in the organization and leadership of the activities of "illegally formed armed groups in Artsakh, supplying them with weapons, ammunition, explosives, and devices."
