«This Is Not a Military Alliance». Putin Talks About BRICS

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that BRICS is not a military alliance. He made this remark during the "Russia-Latin America" international parliamentary conference, as reported by RIA Novosti.

"BRICS is simply a platform for coordinating positions and developing mutually acceptable solutions based on sovereignty, independence, and respect for each other," said Putin.

On September 28, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Director of Communications Julie Kozak stated that the IMF welcomes the expansion of BRICS and the international cooperation aimed at reducing market fragmentation, increasing trade, and lowering the costs of investments and trade.
