Russian Defense Ministry Reports Armenian and Azerbaijani Military Delegations Arrived in Tula; Papikyan Not Attending
The military delegations of the CIS countries, including Armenia and Azerbaijan, have arrived in Tula to participate in the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of CIS member states. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as stated by RIA Novosti.
“The heads of the defense departments of eight countries have arrived in Tula to participate in the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of CIS member states,” the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
The defense ministers will discuss issues of military cooperation and present a global geopolitical situation. A total of eight countries will take part in the meeting: Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
It is also noteworthy that the spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Aram Torosyan, in response to questions from the media about whether Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan would also attend the meeting, stated, “Defense Minister Suren Papikyan did not travel to Tula and is not participating in the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of CIS countries.”
