Azerbaijan to Soon Complete Transportation Corridor Connecting Nakhchivan, Iran, and Turkey, Says Aliyev
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, during his visit to the occupied territories of Artsakh, particularly to Kovsakan, addressed the communication route that will connect Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Turkey.
"The construction of the railway from Horadiz to Zangilan (Kovsakan) is in an active phase of implementation. Very soon, the construction of this important section of the transportation corridor connecting the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, followed by Iran, Turkey, and later Europe, will be completed," said Aliyev.
He emphasized that Kovsakan will become a vital transportation hub, as an airport and railway are being constructed there, along with a highway with six and four lanes from Baku to Kovsakan and all other directions.
