Azerbaijan No Longer Has 'Gray Areas': Aliyev Makes Another Statement
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that there are no longer 'gray areas' in Azerbaijan, and that 'there are no illegal structures, and separatism has been put to an end.'
During his speech in the occupied town of Kovsakan (Zangelan), Aliyev regarded this process as a demonstration of their strong political will. 'This shows Azerbaijan's readiness to achieve peace with Armenia. It sends a strong message to those who still live with ideas of revanchism. They need to abandon such thoughts. I hope that the authorities of Armenia will correctly assess the events that took place from 2019 to September 20. Peace is attainable. This is our perspective on the future of the region. I believe that international actors and neighbors will see our constructive attitude,' he said.
At the same time, Aliyev emphasized that the reason for Azerbaijan's military operations was the 'irresponsible policy of the Prime Minister of Armenia' and 'the activities of separatists.' He highlighted that 'Azerbaijan has recognized the territorial integrity of Armenia.'
He also directed his words to those who are 'drafting unacceptable plans against Azerbaijan': 'Do not play with our patience. We are patient, but determined. We can and prove that we are right,' said Aliyev.
