French Emergency Medical Aid Arrives in Armenia Today: Ministry of Health
French emergency medical aid is set to arrive in Armenia today. The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, met with the Ambassador of France to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
The Ambassador noted that the 5 tons of medical aid includes medical equipment and medications for the treatment of those who have been forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh and have sustained serious injuries. The transfer of several burn patients to specialized medical centers in France is also being discussed.
“The rapid response of the French Republic speaks to the warm relations between Armenia and France. Our long-term cooperation will contribute to addressing both the urgent needs and future integration of our compatriots who have been forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh,” stated Avanesyan.
The aid will be provided to the National Center for Burns of the Ministry of Health and to one of the medical organizations in Goris.
