Baku Ready to Organize UN Representatives' Visit to Nagorno-Karabakh: Bayramov
Baku is ready to organize a visit by UN bodies to Nagorno-Karabakh under the leadership of the UN coordinator in Azerbaijan. This was stated by Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov during a meeting in Baku with the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Yuri Kim.
The situation created in Nagorno-Karabakh following Azerbaijan's military offensive was discussed. Bayramov informed that Baku is prepared to facilitate the visit of UN representatives to Nagorno-Karabakh. He also mentioned that the "Armenian residents of Karabakh are not facing any threats."
Referring to the normalization of relations with Armenia, Bayramov noted, "Despite all efforts by Azerbaijan through international partners, the Armenian side continues to obstruct the peace process. Azerbaijan is interested in establishing peace with Armenia based on mutual respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty."
