With His Silence, Joe Biden Becomes Complicit in the Ongoing Genocide of Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh: Armenians in California Hold Protest

Armenians in California held a protest in front of the Ronald Reagan Library in Los Angeles, where a Republican candidates' debate was set to take place later that day. The event was organized by the Armenian Youth Federation, which posted video footage of the protest on social media.

The participants demanded that American authorities do not become complicit in the crimes committed against the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh: "Aliyev and Erdogan are terrorists. With his silence, Joe Biden becomes complicit in the ongoing genocide of Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh. Republicans, it’s time to speak out. Stop the genocide," said the protestors.

Activists spent several hours near the library and planned to stay until the debate began, aiming to make their stance known to each of the candidates.

It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack against Artsakh on September 19. The Azerbaijani military violated the ceasefire along the entire contact line, launching missile and artillery strikes. As a result of Azerbaijan's aggression, there were at least 200 deaths and over 400 injuries.

On September 20, it was reported that the authorities of Artsakh accepted the ceasefire proposal from the command of the Russian peacekeeping mission. On September 21, with the mediation of the Russian peacekeepers, the first meeting between representatives of Artsakh and Azerbaijan took place in Yevlakh, with a second meeting following on September 25 in Ivanian.

As of 8:00 PM on September 26, a total of 28,120 people had been evacuated from Artsakh to Armenia.
