Samvel Babayan: "It Was Possible to Save Artsakh; Azerbaijan Agreed for Us to Be an Autonomous Republic, These People Just Didn't Want It"

During an appearance on the public television program "Interview," former Secretary of the Artsakh Security Council Samvel Babayan stated that it was possible to save Artsakh.

“We could have created an autonomous republic over four thousand four hundred areas, just as we had the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast, and have our own guard. These people simply did not want to. I negotiated through intermediaries, and Azerbaijan agreed to all of this. These people committed a crime,” he said.
