The authorities have taken their defeat in the Yerevan city council elections very hard and are preparing for a very dirty operation. This was stated by Andranik Tevanyan, the mayoral candidate from the "Mother Armenia" alliance, in a Facebook video message.

According to the information I have received, they want to carry out a recount at all polling stations tomorrow and intend to steal several hundred votes from the people. Regardless of who participated in the election and who did not, if tomorrow, for some reason, the Nikolites decide to revise the results in their favor and rob the people of that one mandate by which they have become a minority, I call on those who did not participate in the elections, to take to the streets and stand up for the people’s vote,” he said.

Tevanyan also noted that they will send observers to the polling stations to be present during the recounts. “I urge the ruling party to stop the brazen fraud that they are preparing,” he added.
