Samvel Babayan is right: if Artsakh has been handed over, there should be accountability. This was stated by the former Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Movses Hakobyan, in an interview with 24News, commenting on Babayan's statement made on public television the day before.

When asked whether he also believes that Artsakh has been given away, Hakobyan responded, "I do not think so, but if such a thing is confirmed, let them answer for it."

Regarding the question of whether the Defense Army could have fought longer to resist Azerbaijan's demands for disarmament, Hakobyan said, "Don't ask me such questions; I'm not aware of details; it has been three years since I left the army, and I cannot comment from the outside. As for the complete transfer of military equipment to Azerbaijan, that was a political decision, and I do not comment on it."
