‘No one has the right to prevent anyone from coming to Yerablur,’ says MP from the ruling party

At the Yerablur military pantheon today, reporters asked Gagik Melkonyan, an MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, why members of the ruling faction had not visited Yerablur to honor the memory of the victims of the 44-day war.

“A few days ago, some of our MPs came here; they were beaten and not allowed to enter. How do you explain that? No one is afraid to come to Yerablur. This is not anyone’s private property; our heroes are buried here, and everyone is obliged to come here. No one has the right to prevent anyone from coming here. People should understand that such actions are not acceptable here,” Melkonyan stated.

“Where have you seen the leader of a country go to Yerablur and a group blocks him? Where have you seen such a thing? Now, according to Ukrainian data, Putin has lost 250,000 soldiers. Can he not go to their pantheon?” said Gagik Melkonyan.
