What Did Erdogan Discuss with Pashinyan on September 11?

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has revealed what he discussed with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during their phone call on September 11 while returning from Nakhichevan. Erdogan stressed the necessity of progress in Azerbaijan-Armenia relations.

“A new window of opportunity has opened in the region for establishing permanent peace and stability after the 44-day war. In our opinion, this opportunity should be appreciated. We expect Armenia to demonstrate strong will instead of prolonging the process. This expectation has also been communicated to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mr. Nikol Pashinyan, with whom I spoke over the phone on September 11,” he stated.

Erdogan declared that they see no problem that cannot be solved if Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty are respected. “Progress in the Azerbaijan-Armenia process will greatly boost regional settlement. We will continue to work with Azerbaijan to establish stability, peace, and prosperity in the South Caucasus,” he concluded.
