The former Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, has reported on the current situation in Stepanakert: 'People, including children, elderly, and women, are forced to leave their homes and are waiting day and night in the cold, without food, for almost a week for their turn to move to Armenia. After living for over nine months under Azerbaijani blockade and the threat of war, ultimately subjected to an armed attack by Azerbaijani forces, having lost family members and loved ones, leaving behind the graves of their relatives, they are compelled to leave their homeland, because they are ethnically Armenian,' wrote Tatoyan.
