20,270 People Relocated from Artsakh to Armenia, Government Provides Shelter for 2,850

As of now, 20,270 individuals have crossed our checkpoint at Kornidzor. Of these, the government has provided shelter for 2,850 individuals. This was stated today, September 26, during a press conference by the spokesperson for the Prime Minister, Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

“For the past three days, the government has been operating relocation centers for individuals forcibly displaced from Artsakh, and a registration process is taking place for the citizens. A total of 20,270 individuals have already completed their registration and relocation is underway. The state has taken care of the housing needs of 2,850 forcibly displaced persons. Specifically, in Goris, the housing needs of 615 individuals have been resolved, in Sisian 169, in Tatev 171, in Kapan 324, and in Meghri 19. Overall, 1,298 displaced persons have been relocated in the Syunik Province, 532 in Vayots Dzor, 752 in Gegharkunik, and 268 in Tavush,” said Baghdasaryan.
