VIDEO: Erdogan Arrives in Nakhchivan, Welcomed by Azerbaijan's Leader Ilham Aliyev

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has arrived in Nakhchivan for a one-day visit. At the airport, he was welcomed by Azerbaijan's leader, Ilham Aliyev. During this visit, the Turkish President will participate in the inauguration of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline as well as the opening of the updated military complex in Nakhchivan.

It is expected that the leaders of the two countries will discuss Ankara's proposed meeting regarding the situation in Artsakh among the leaders of the Russian Federation, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. Additionally, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, expressed hope today that the Erdogan-Aliyev meeting will contribute to the settlement in Artsakh.
