I Am Confident We Will Open Our Arms to the Children Evacuated from Artsakh: Zhanna Andreasian

Many of our compatriots from Artsakh, including a large number of children, have endured inhumane suffering and hardships and have now arrived in Armenia, with more set to arrive in the coming days. This was stated by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasian on her Facebook page.

“I am confident we will open our arms to our children, providing them a warm and caring environment in our schools, and we will try to alleviate the suffering of these days as much as possible. Dear students, today in Goris, many students from Goris State University are involved as volunteers in the reception efforts for our compatriots. I believe many of you will also participate in various support activities, starting from assessing the needs of the people to providing necessary informational and other types of assistance, and even more specialized work,” she noted.

“For instance, our students studying social work and psychology can provide significant support in relevant professional tasks. Those studying foreign languages can help facilitate necessary information flows in other languages. There is a lot of work to be done, and each of your efforts will be important.”

Beginning tomorrow, universities will start recruiting students who wish to engage in volunteer work to organize these efforts. “These difficult days are for us to get through together; let us be strong,” the minister concluded.
