More than 40,000 spots prepared in Armenia for Artsakh residents, focusing on housing: Pashinyan
The residents of Nagorno-Karabakh can come to Armenia under conditions when the impossibility of our compatriots remaining in Nagorno-Karabakh is recorded, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced at today's cabinet meeting.
“Yes, we assess that at this moment, this impossibility exists. If the situation does not improve, this issue will, of course, remain on all of our agendas. However, I would also like to inform our society that as early as September 19, I instructed Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan to discuss with government colleagues how, in what ways, and where we will support our compatriots,” he said.
Pashinyan mentioned that more than 40,000 spots have been prepared, referring specifically to housing arrangements. “In this regard, we can note that we are ready and continue to prepare,” emphasized the Prime Minister, noting that all of this has been coordinated with partners in Nagorno-Karabakh.
However, he stated that the goal of the Armenian government is not to depopulate Nagorno-Karabakh. “We must do everything to ensure that our compatriots live in their homes without fear and with dignity,” Pashinyan added.
