Humanitarian Aid Larger Batches May Enter Artsakh Today, Says Nikol Pashinyan

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, addressed the humanitarian and military-political situation in Artsakh at the start of a government meeting. He noted that the situation remains extremely tense and the humanitarian crisis continues.

“We are in constant contact with our partners in Artsakh. Following discussions held this morning, we can state that there are some hopes for positive developments. What we mean is that the residents of Artsakh may have a real opportunity to return to their homes, but I also want to emphasize the following: we note that the situation is dynamic and changeable; the information we have at this moment can change in half an hour. However, it is crucial that we have accurate information about the current moment at all times, as well as certain insights about the dynamics,” he said.

Pashinyan added, “There are certain hopes for improving the humanitarian situation, and it is not ruled out that today larger batches of humanitarian aid may enter Artsakh. At this moment, I cannot provide more details because there are specific agreements, the implementation of which should start now. Whether it will start or not, I cannot say, but it is clear that there are certain agreements.”
