If Armenia 'diligently fulfills' its obligations, the peace agreement will be brought to life - Turkey's Defense Minister
Turkey's Defense Minister Yaşar Güler expressed hope that recent events will pave the way for long-term peace. In an interview with Milliyet, he commented on Azerbaijan's military aggression along the entire length of the contact line in Artsakh on September 19, which Baku presented as a so-called 'local anti-terrorist operation.' This followed an agreement on a ceasefire between Artsakh and Azerbaijan, along with negotiations between the two sides in Evlakh.
Güler stated, 'If Armenia diligently fulfills its obligations, the peace agreement will be implemented as soon as possible, bringing long-awaited peace and tranquility to the region.'
It is worth noting that on September 20, the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh accepted the proposal from the command of the Russian peacekeeping mission regarding a ceasefire in Artsakh.
