Citizen Arrested for Throwing Bottle at Police During Gathering

It has been reported that on September 22, 2023, at 11:30 AM, in Republic Square, near the Government Building of the Republic of Armenia, one of the citizens gathered threw a bottle at police officers performing their duties and attempted to flee, according to the Investigative Committee.

Following this incident, a criminal case has been initiated in the second investigative department of the Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, under the features of Article 297, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. The individual has been presented to the investigating authority.

A decision has been made to arrest the individual based on the existence of reasonable suspicion that they committed the crime. An investigation is underway.
