Charges Filed Against the Father of Fallen Soldier Who Argued with MP Hovik Aghazaryan
Lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan reported that after an incident between the ruling party MP Hovik Aghazaryan and the father of a fallen soldier, charges have been brought against the father. A request for his arrest may also be submitted.
"Armen Galstyan, the father of the fallen soldier Levon Galstyan, was charged with a manifestly moderate severity offense for insulting Hovik Aghazaryan. Preliminary information indicates that a request for his detention will be submitted," the lawyer stated.
It is noted that days ago, ruling party MPs Hovik Aghazaryan and Hakob Aslanyan arrived at the Yerablur Pantheon. Members of the NGO 'Call of Sons,' who had spent the whole night there, tried to prevent the MPs from entering the 'Yerablur' area. They began to push the MPs.
Hakob Aslanyan stated that he participated in three wars but was not being heard: "You go to Baku! You are a Turk, a traitor, go away, don't create conflict." Agitated citizens were pushing the MPs, and there were also insults, with one of the citizens striking Hovik Aghazaryan.
