«They are specifically spreading the theme that Armenia does not want to accept people coming from Artsakh» - Pashinyan
There has unfortunately been one incident today near Stepanakert, but overall, the ceasefire regime is being maintained, with some localized violations. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“Since the ceasefire was established, according to the information we have, the Defense Army continues to remain in the places where they were at the moment the ceasefire was established, and the same applies to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. I saw reports that Azerbaijani troops are in Stepanakert, but that is not the case. Of course, there are communication problems and difficulties. As far as I have learned from our colleagues in Artsakh, there are some issues regarding the roads leading to Martakert and Martuni, but overall the situation is stable,” Pashinyan stated.
He urged everyone to follow official news and added that the reports regarding mass casualties do not correspond to reality.
“Earlier this week, I issued instructions to form a working group to address the needs of those displaced from Artsakh and those who have become refugees. There is no basis to claim that there is a specific narrative being spread that Armenia does not want to accept people coming from Artsakh,” he added.
