Violent Genocide Must Be Stopped Immediately: Beglaryan
We must speak the truth. The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh must make decisions quickly and boldly, and publicly present them to the people, no matter how difficult they may be.
Former advisor to the Prime Minister of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, wrote on Facebook: “The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh must make decisions quickly and boldly, and publicly present them to the people, no matter how difficult they may be, and the people must understand that this desperate step is borne out of the current situation.
At this moment, the ongoing bloody genocide must be stopped immediately, as the number of victims and the wounded is rapidly increasing, while the progression and successes of the Azerbaijani troops in various directions are developing. Time is working against us, as it is clear that no international player, including the Russian and American sides, wishes to stop the war. It is indisputable for me that Russia, the USA, and the EU are criminally fully supporting the Azerbaijani agenda to subjugate the people of Artsakh.
In such geopolitically heavy conditions and in such an extremely unequal war, our heroic boys cannot achieve significant results solely at the cost of their courage and lives. We have been left completely besieged and alone, even Mother Armenia has abandoned Artsakh in this struggle.
In such a clear deadlock, the top priority must be to save human lives, while other issues regarding the future of Artsakh should be discussed after a ceasefire, as much as possible with international guarantees.
It is very difficult for me to write such a text, but we are obliged to tell the truth—for the sake of the people of Artsakh and the darkened future of our homeland fragments. Every struggle must have a certain visible perspective, especially when thousands of human lives are at stake on the other side of the scale.
Stay strong, people. We will have time to rise again.
P.S. Let anyone outside Artsakh refrain from trying to teach me lessons of patriotism, disconnected from this harsh reality, of which only a small part is visible from the outside.”
