President of Tuscany Region in Italy Presents Earthquake Damage
The earthquake that occurred in central Italy did not result in any casualties; however, some buildings have been damaged. This was stated by the President of the Tuscany region, Eugenio Giani, during a broadcast on RaiNews24.
“At this moment, no critical situations have been detected as a result of the earthquake that shook the town of Maradi. Some buildings have been damaged. The relevant authorities are continuing to inspect buildings and structures. Schools in the earthquake zone have been immediately closed,” the governor said.
According to him, various emergency services received about 300 calls from concerned citizens, while firefighters had to respond to calls more than ten times.
